Arsenal draw luck MU in the top 4

The 1-1 draw in the first match in MU was taken in the 7th round of the Premier League, bringing Arsenal back to the top 4 teams in the rankings.

However, the “Gunners of London” still received a lot of public pressure because again encountered unsatisfactory results when marching to Old Trafford.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring for “Reds” with a beautiful free kick in the 45th minute. But in the 58th minute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang punished the mistake of young defender Axel Tuanzebe to help Unai Emery’s army avoid Old Trafford’s defeat at Old Trafford, thanks to the help of VAR (Video Assist Video Technology) determined he was not offside when scoring.

A point of departure from Manchester helped Arsenal have 12 points equal to rival London – West Ham but more than “Sledgehammer” on the sub-index to occupy fourth place in the English Premier League rankings when the round 7 closed. However, the sad historic milestones still fill Arsenal’s name after the difficult match with MU recently.

“Gunners of London” has extended 13 games in a row without winning host MU when guests at Old Trafford in the framework of the English Premier League for the past 13 years since they won this great rival 1-0 in September in 2006 (lost 8, drawn 5 matches afterwards).

Arsenal also could not beat MU in the league in 42 years when marching to the “Theater of Dreams” and have received a goal since this North London team won 2-1 here in 1977.

The outstanding individuals in the recent heroic battle of the two former British football kings have also made memorable milestones in their careers. Scott McTominay had the first goal at Old Trafford for MU after 25 times the Scottish midfielder played in all the arenas.

With Aubameyang, Gabon became the first person to score 7 goals for Arsenal after the first 7 rounds in a season in the Premier League since the case of Dutch legend Dennis Bergkamp 1997/98 season.

Another Arsenal player, Bukayo Saka – the British 18-year-old winger who became the youngest player in history to start the Premier League match in the confrontation between MU and the “Gunners”.

West Ham vs MU: Lanzini is very dangerous

United as a guest of West Ham in the 6th round of the Premier League and one of the biggest threats from the host is Manuel Lanzini.

Despite spending £45 million to buy Sebastien Haller and 25 million to buy Pablo Fornals, it is Manuel Lanzini’s return that is considered the most important factor that can help West Ham make a difference.

After missing most of last season due to a tendon injury and many other injuries, Lanzini is rediscovering his best form. He created 15 chances for his teammates after 5 games of the new season, only less than De Bruyne (19 chances) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (21).

In West Ham’s 4-1-4-1 diagram, Lanzini is one of two people playing the “No. 8” role with Mark Noble. Supported by his teammates, he was able to freely occupy gaps. Not good at tackling but Lanzini played hard, determined, ready to steal the opponent’s ball and launched sharp passes for teammates.

MU must be very wary whenever holding the ball in 1/3 of the field. West Ham this season holds an average of 47.4% of the ball, ready to let the opponent hold the ball more and then sneak the opportunity to exploit the opponent’s mistake. Before MU, Lanzini and Noble will find opportunities to steal the ball, along with Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko on the wings of the counter-attack.

Lanzini tends to have a wide kick near the edge, helping West Ham to create a large number of players near the boundary and thereby make it easier to move the ball upwards instead of being forced to cross the border, slowing the pace up the ball. Not only has a good mind when passing the ball, Lanzini also has the ability to move at high speed, helping him easily exploit the gaps exposed in the opponent’s defense.

Thanks to his ability to pass people in hand-to-hand situations, Lanzini makes the opponent tend to stand a meter away from him to guard instead of approaching. As a result, he has room to make a deadly pass or launch a cross on the bottom third of the opponent’s field. That’s exactly what happened when Lanzini assisted Anderson to score in the match against MU last season.

Another problem MU must be very wary of the threat from Lanzini is the fixed situation, especially the corner kick because the player of The Hammers is capable of dangerous free kick. Quick free kicks from the wings. Of the 15 chances Lanzini has created since the start of the season, nine come from live balls. The remaining 6 chances are created from dangerous free kicks into the local ban.

Van Dijk won the best player in Europe

The Liverpool center-back surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in UEFA’s most prestigious individual title race.

“I am very proud to receive this title. It recognizes the hard work of everyone who helped me. I need to thank my teammates, without them, I cannot achieve the achievements that I have done. I have come a long way and this title is part of that journey”, Van Dijk said during the awards ceremony in Monaco.

Virgil Van Dijk contributed to bring Liverpool to the Champions League last season , finished second in the Premier League and the Dutch team to the Nations League final.

At the end of last season, he therefore acquired a series of titles in England. But this victory takes Van Dijk to a new level when the opponents he overcomes are the two brightest stars of the contemporary football world: Messi and Ronaldo – who have captured four of these five titles in previous seasons.

Messi and Ronaldo are also the other two candidates on this year’s nominees – in a poll conducted by top journalists and coaches. Van Dijk joined Liverpool in January 2018 for $100 million – a record fee for a defender then. In addition to winning the title of best player in Europe, Van Dijk also held the title of best defender in the Champions League last season.

The Champions League Best Goalkeeper Award goes to Alisson. The Brazilian goalkeeper has excelled, contributing greatly to the Liverpool championship.

The best midfielder was given to Frenkie de Jong. The 22-year-old with Ajax made a surprise when passing Real and Juventus to the semi-finals, before losing to Tottenham. This season, De Jong will attend the Champions League with Barca after joining Catalonia.

The best striker belongs to Lionel Messi. The sixth Barca star  won the Champions League scorer  last season with a record of 12 goals, more than four goals compared to the second (Robert Lewandowski). In addition, Messi won the European Golden Shoe.

In the women’s category, Lucy Bronze won the European Footballer of the Year award. She was the first English female player to do this. Bronze could not attend the awards ceremony on August 29 because he was playing for England to play a friendly against Belgium in Leuven. Bronze is playing for the French club Lyon. Earlier this year, she shone at the women’s soccer World Cup and received the Silver Ball title as well as the second highest scorer in the tournament.
